There is a harsh truth about school system. Existing school system or self-education? You will choose, but before that I would like to reveal some facts which might change your aspect of thinking.
So, let me tell you a story that goes back a hundred years, a story of the Third Reich in 20. Century. German leaders were not satisfied with their soldiers. They were little rebellious and uncontrollable. Rebellious in that way that during the war those soldiers were running away from the shots to save their lives, instead of sacrificing to the needs of their leaders. But just one idea has changed the world. This independent thinking leaders wanted to change in obedience and subordination. They divided a system called »Schule« (School). Within a few generations, that changed the world. On a surface that school provided education for children, but when we look deeper we recognise that those schools were based on the indoctrination, training, stratification, subordination. All was based to the needs of the rulers and elite. Those schools stole children’s natural talent, independent thinking, curiosity, creativity and individuality. They replaced those children’s qualities with loyalty towards the state and authority. They taught children how not to think for yourself, they were forced to trust into the thinking of their leaders.
Does that sound like an abuse to you? We were all abused.
My acquired Academic Higher (University) Education is professor of primary school teaching, but I see exactly what is wrong with system. In this case I don’t mean school system, I mean system in generally. Through the history to the present day “they” established capitalistic system, NWO, which still brings many negative consequences at schools. I am really concerned about what will happen with today’s children. I am not saying that all schools and teachers are bad, but in my opinion, our classical educational system is based on authority, punishment and competition. There are many learning of definitions and complex mathematics. We all have experiences from our primary schools and high schools. It was all based on learning by heart. What about to appreciate what every individual thinks? Sometimes we were not allowed to express in our own words, but there were also teachers that encouraged free expression. So, I think you understand what I am talking about. This system corresponding to the leaders and the elite (government, corporations, bankers).
The dumbest we are the more powerful they are.
So, in classical public school system they usually teach children WHAT TO THINK INSTEAD HOW TO THINK. An exception is a good teacher or alternative and private systems, which are adapted to the individual. In some classical public schools, things are starting to get better and they also encourage independent thinking and self expression. But the problem is that most of classical public systems are based on complexity, learning stories by heart and full of information without deeper understanding.
But I am sure that the most important role in school is a role of a teacher. Teachers (and of course parents) are responsible how successful their students are. But what is a good teacher? It is very important that teacher is professional, well educated and well organised, but we mustn’t forget teacher’s personal competences. Children need to be inspired.
So, despite the formal education plan is also important that teachers are good motivators, creative, innovative, flexible, fair and equal. I also hope, that most teachers are those who encourage free expression and not facts learned by heart. “Teaching with your heart” is the key. Let all children express their own opinion, let children think logical and independently, is my advice to teachers and parents.
Children should learn from their own experiences, not always from the books. Learning through experiences leads to complete understanding. So they need to develop their skills, creativity, thinking, logic and curiosity, because only free expression contributes to the healthy development and independent thinking.
Teachers and parents should remember:
“The best teachers are those who show you where to look, but don’t tell you what to see.” – Alexandra K. Trenfor –
But in any case, is school really enough? No matter what, at school we earn some values, but we are responsible for our development and self-improvement. The school is just not enough. I’m glad that I am aware of this, especially since we were taught history, which was a lie in some cases!
So, there are also things we can’t never know and understand if we don’t search, explore and learn on our own.
“Teachers open the door but you must enter by yourself.” – Chinese Proverb –
All of you have heard of the phrase: »Think outside the box.« Why is there a box in the first place? Because you have been taught so. Try to live outside the borders and teach your children to think in their own way, let your mind to develop healthy. Like Deepak Chopra says:
»Instead of thinking outside the box, get rid of the box!«
We have to encourage independent and creative thinking and what is the most important: imagination.
“The essence of the independent mind lies not in what it thinks, but in how it thinks.” – Christopher Hitchens –
So, key to healthy development is to educate yourself and to think with »your own head«. The eyes are useless when the mind is blind, so you are not a “sheep”, wake up …
